Open House October 22, 2009
10/01/2009

All of us at Senior Hope are thrilled to invite you to be our guest for an Open House and Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony at our new location at 301 South Allen Street in Albany. Our event will take pace on Thursday, October 22nd at 5:00 p.m.

What prompted this move? Our Clients. Our previous location was too small to adequately accommodate their needs - our group room, where we create a safe space for all to share and learn, was often standing-room only; our counselors took turns using available office space for individual sessions; even our waiting area was cramped and crowded with little seating. In contrast, our new space is large enough to care for all of our clients. Since our move in early June, our client base has increased by over forty percent.

In light of the current difficult economy, we have chosen not to hold a special fundraising event this year as we did last year. Instead, we would like to simply welcome you to our new space to meet staff and clients, old and new; enjoy a small bake sale featuring fresh baked goods prepared by clients and staff; an be welcomed by sights and sounds of clients sharing their talents and ideas about Senior Hope's role in their recovery. Our clients are at the center of everything we do. We are saking you to parnter with us and consider making a donation so that we can sustain and expand our high-quality services.

We hope to see you on October 22nd at the Open House - enjoy a quick bite; take a tour; spend some time with Senior Hope members, staff, and clients; and mingle with other supporters and friends.

Sincerely,

William Rockwood, Ph.D
Executive Director

P.S. Consider joining us the next day, October 23rd, at the Senior Expo at Colonie Center, where we will have a booth and the Walk with Senior Hope at noon.
